5.1.3 Checking
The installation must be checked at regular intervals, at least every 2 months (checking of
the different elements as far as these are included in the installation):
• Testing the opening element (radar):
Walk towards the door at normal speed. As soon as the remaining distance between
youandthedoorisapproximately1,5m,theopeningprocessmustbeinitiated,and
by the time you have reached the door the latter must have achieved an opening of
80 %.The radar must be effective on the entire opening width. A radar device each is
installed inside and outside of the drive unit.
• Testing the light barrier:
Trigger an opening impulse by means of an opening element. As soon as the door
starts closing, but the beam of the light barrier with your hand: the door movement must
bereversed.Thelightbarriersofthelightbarrierareinstalledintheverticalproles,on
the left- and right-hand side of the clearance opening.
• Testing the presence sensor:
Stay within the passage area of the door. As long as you remain within this zone, the
door must not be closed. The presence sensor must be effective on the entire width of
this zone. One device each is mounted on the inside and outside of the drive unit.
• Make sure that the active range of the sliding wings is clear of any obstacles, that the
wing speed is reduced early enough and that in the open respectively closed positions
the wings do not bump into the limit stop buffers.
• Move the sliding wings by hand while listening for any unusual scratching or grinding
noises.
• Checktheconditionofthesealingrubberprolesontheleadingandrearedgesofthe
sliding wings.
• Checkthefunction,thefreeaccesstoandidenticationofthemanualunlockingme-
chanism (optional) as well as of the emergency stop button (optional).
• Check the correct fastening of the drive case covering.
Attention:
Please contact immediately your after-sales service if you detect a damage or
malfunction that you cannot repair yourself.
5.2 Maintenance/checking carried out by the after-sales service
Warning:
In order to guarantee the safety of the users at all times, the installation must
becheckedwithregardtoitssafeconditionbeforetherstcommissioningand
during normal operation, at least once a year, by a competent specialist. The
correctmaintenance/checkingmustbeconrmedbyenteringthedateand
signature into the control booklet.
For installations used in escape and rescue ways, we recommend to carry out
the service at least twice a year.Thedatewhenthenextcheckingserviceis
dueshallbespeciedonthemonthlyservicesticker.
Note:
We recommend to conclude a maintenance contract with the manufacturer of
the installation, respectively with his authorized distribution partner.
