SAFETY GEAR TEST (‘GMV NEGECOR1 (LCB-EVO)’ main controller)
1 ) Load the cabin with 125% of the rated capacity
2 ) Bring the cabin to the upper extreme floor
3 ) Call down the cabin to the lower extreme floor
4 ) When the rated speed is reached and when the car cabin is located at a floor (Led light red, on EED
RECALL device), on the EED RECALL Button, turn the key in "TEST" position
5 ) Verify that the car stops (Leds safety chain on main board switch off).
6 ) Verify that no fault or damage has occurred during the test that would affect the normal use of the
elevator
7 ) Reset the speed governor by turn the key in "RESET" position, on the EED RECALL Button.
8 ) CAUTION - For the installation with Coated Steel Ropes, proceed to unload weight from the car cabin
and start the operation in step " 9 ". CAUTION: immediately stop the unblocking operation as soon as the
ropes begin to slip on the traction sheave (from the control panel implement the by-pass procedure with
the doors open and visually check the slip from the top end plane).
9 ) Using the electric emergency device " EED RECALL " in the operating panel , turn the selector switch to "
electric emergency maneuver " and move the car cabin up in maintenance .
If the safety gear have not released when the drive has reached the maximum current delivery limit ,
proceed to unload weight from the cabin and repeat the operation in step " 9 " .
10 ) Verify the correct mechanical (visually) and electrical unlocking of the safety gear (Leds of safety chain
on main board, switch on)
11 ) Check the performance of the safety gear by accessing the compartment from the pit or car cabin roof ,
checking the simultaneity of safety gear deployment according to the track traveled on the guides .
12 ) Restore the rail surface affected by safety gear deployment to safeguard the skids and transit noise .
13 ) On the electric emergency button " EED RECALL " in the operating panel , return the selector switch to
" normal operation " .
SAFETY GEAR TEST (‘SEA’ main controller)
1 ) Load the cabin with 125% of the rated capacity
2 ) Bring the cabin to the upper extreme floor
3 ) Call down the cabin to the lower extreme floor
4 ) When the rated speed is reached and when the car cabin is located at a floor , on the main board press
the button " STL1 "
5 ) Verify that the car stops and that in the panel on the board " STK1R " the leds " 8 " and " 10 " switch off.
6 ) Verify that no fault or damage has occurred during the test that would affect the normal use of the
elevator
