Activation of the TDC (Travel Direction Change) function on VVVF Fuji Frenic LM2
If the password in L109 has not yet been set (=0000):
1. Set the rope deflection limit in L111 (the value is in tens of thousands, i.e. 100 equals 1 million
deflections)
2. If required, use parameter L112 to set the limit for the rope’s end-of-life warning (the value is a
percentage of L111) and L197 bit 0=1 for the warning to be indicated with the Fuji keypad’s “Warning” LED
3. Set the password in L109 (it must be different to 0000, otherwise the TDC function remains disabled and
its parameters are not protected). The STOP button must be pressed and held in order to change the
password digits.
If the L109 password has already been set, enter it in L110 to set parameters L111 and L112 as described
above. The STOP button must be pressed and held in order to change the password digits. The password
cannot be recovered by third parties, so it must be written down / memorised properly ...
For the new functions to be saved, switch the drive off and back on again
Deactivation of the TDC (Travel Direction Change) function
1. Enter the current password in L110. The STOP button must be pressed and held in order to change the
password digits.
2. Set L109=0000. The STOP button must be pressed and held in order to edit L109
TDC warning / alarm
Once the rope deflection limit set in parameter L111 has been reached, the inverter shuts down with a tCA
alarm. The STK1R board signals a generic VVVF alarm 96. Before this, the “Warning” LED on the Fuji keypad
indicates that the warning threshold set in parameter L112 has been exceeded.
After replacing the ropes, reset the tCA alarm by first entering the current password in L110 and then
setting L113=0 (deflection counter, number in millions with two decimal places).
Note: all the procedures described can be carried out either by using the parameters indicated in the usual
way, or in a more “user friendly” way through the “Inform. drive” → “Travel counter” menu.
