VI.e Diverter pulley
Verify that pivots and pulley bearings don’t make noise or abnormal vibrations, otherwise clean
and grease them.
Verify that the grooves of the pulleys have not been worn or deformed by the old rope.
Verify the alignment and the position of the pulleys.
Verify that the guarding are present, properly installed and working.

Perform a complete review of the machine and its start-up controls

VII.a Landing doors: locking devices
Verify that the door lock device is clean, in good condition, properly working.
Verify that the electrical closing doors contacts are clean, in good condition, properly working.
VII.b Landing doors: sliding, guiding and lubrication
Verify that the doors on each floor are not damaged, that opening and closing are done without
friction and in a silent way
Verify that the landing door locks are clean, in good condition and properly adjusted and
working
Verify the wear condition, integrity and correct working of belts, chains, cables, ropes and recall
springs.
Verify the wear condition of the hanger rollers and shoes of door panels
Verify that all moving parts are clean, in good condition, properly working and, where
necessary, lubricate
VII.c Landing doors: emergency releasing device
Verify that the emergency door opening mechanism works properly (triangular key)
Verify that the emergency electrical contact of the doors, where installed, is clean, in good
condition and properly working.
VII.d Commands and signals at landings
Verify that all the push-buttons and signals at landings are working properly
VII.e Devices and manoeuvre in event of fire (EN 81-73)
The owner of the building must inform the maintenance organization if the fire detection
system has been modified, even in part.
The maintenance organization must perform an annual test, record the correct operation of
the maneuver in case of fire and notify any need to replace components or parts of the lift
to ensure its proper operation
Verify that, when the detection devices are activated, the system take the car to the designated
landing
Verify that once the designated landing has been reached, the lift, depending on the parking
mode set in accordance with local laws,
a) open the doors for up to 20 s before closing them and park out of service the car
b) open the doors and stop the outboard car with open doors.
Verify that all the push-buttons on the floor and on the car panels are not working and you
cannot make calls from landings and from the car.
Verify that the open door push-button and the emergency alarm push-button are working.
Verify that manual or automatic detection devices are present, in good condition, and are
properly working, and that the lift responds to the signals that they have sent.
Verify that the prohibition signals "Do not use the lift in event of fire" are exposed next to the lift,
easily visible from all landings, clean, in good condition and readable.
