VIII. C ABINA
VIII.a Emergency lighting and return at landing
 Verify that emergency lighting turns on in event of power failure
 Verify that the return at floor and door opening device is working properly in case of power
failure.

Verify that the emergency battery voltage is the correct one.
VIII.b Push-buttons and key switches
 Verify that all push-buttons, key switches, and signal (display) in the car are working properly.
VIII.c Wall panels and ceiling
 Verify that all wall panels, mirrors and ceiling are properly and securely fixed

Verify all the car lighting lamps are on.
VIII.d Car door: closing and/or locking device
 Verify that the car door closing/locking contacts are clean and properly working

Verify that the unlocking device is working/coupling properly with all the landing door locks
VIII.e Car door: sliding, guiding and lubrication
 Verify the landing - car doors coupling is clean, in good condition and properly adjusted and
working
 Verify that the car doors are not damaged, that opening and closing are done without friction and
in a silent way
 Verify the wear condition, integrity and correct working of belts, chains, cables, ropes and recall
springs.
 Verify the wear condition of the hanger rollers and shoes of door panels
 Verify that all moving parts are clean, in good condition, properly working and, where necessary,
lubricate.
VIII.f Car door: passenger protection devices
 Verify that the re-opening device in case a person is bumped by the door (Safety edge)
functions properly

Verify that the light curtains are clean, in good condition, securely fixed and working properly.
VIII.g Levelling to the floor
 Verify the leveling on arrival at each floor.
 Verify, by performing the downward manual maneuver, the correct working of the relevelling
devices.
VIII.h Emergency alarm device
 Verify that the alarm push-button and the intercom device work properly.
VIII.i Travel quality
 Verify the quality of the car traveling on all floors (both upward and downward).
VIII.j Emergency and / or inspection trap-doors and doors
 Verify that the doors and / or trap-doors are not damaged and that the opening and closing are
done without friction.

Verify that the door or trap-door closing electrical contacts are clean and properly working.
IX. MRL - S YSTEMS WITH THE MACHINES ROOM IN THE WELL
IX.a Upper car stop mechanical device
 Verify that the upper car stop mechanical device (UCSMD) has a regular and easy movement
and that all the fixing bolts are are properly tightened.

Verify that the electrical safety contact (SBCS) is clean, in good condition and working properly.
