Check the quality of the car traveling on all floors (both upward and downward).
VIII.j Emergency and / or inspection trap-doors and doors
Check that the doors and / or trap-doors are not damaged and that the opening and closing
are done without friction.
Check that the door or trap-door closing electrical contacts are clean and properly working.

YSTEMS WITH THE MACHINES ROOM IN THE WELL
IX.a Upper car stop mechanical device
Check that the upper car stop mechanical device (UCSMD) has a regular and easy movement
and that all the fixing bolts are are properly tightened.
Check that the electrical safety contact (SBCS) is properly fixed and working:
- The security chain is closed: If the device is in non-active position
- The security chain is open:
- If the device is in position active
- If the device returns to non-active position after it has been activated.
(System reset required).
IX.b Lower car stop mechanical device
Check that the lower car stop mechanical device (LCSMD) has a regular and easy movement
and that all the fixing bolts are are properly tightened.
Check that the electrical safety contacts (SBCA and SBCRn) are properly fixed and working:
- The security chain is closed: If the device is in non-active position
- The security chain is open:
- If the device is in position active
- If the device returns to non-active position after it has been activated.
(System reset required).
Check that the pre-activated car stop device (AMI) and its connecting levers have a regular and
easy movements and that their locking bolts are properly tightened.
Check that the electrical safety contacts (SPR and SPR1) are properly fixed and working
- The security chain is closed: If the parachute bar is in non-active position
- The security chain is open:
- If the parachute bar is rotated in active position
- If the parachute bar returns to non-active position after it has been activated.
(System reset required).
Check that the intervention device (AMI), when powered, reaches the non-active position.
Check that the electrical contact to control the position (R and A) are properly fixed and
working.
Or
Check that the lower car stop mechanical device (LCSMD) has a regular and easy movement
and that all the fixing bolts are are properly tightened.
Check that the electrical safety contacts (SBCA and SBCRn) is properly fixed and working:
- The security chain is closed: If the device is in non-active position
- The security chain is open:
- If the device is in position active
- If the device returns to non-active position after it has been activated.
(System reset required).
Check
- That the cables in the sheaths run properly and, if necessary, lubricate them.
- That the handles and ends of the cable are securely fastened.
