If the control panel’s red ERROR LED is flashing on your GRAPHTEC Scanner, it could be due to several reasons. First, if a document was left loaded inside, open the cover and remove it. If the top cover was opened during scanning, press the [STOP] button and then [EJECT] to remove the document. Check for any document jams and remove the jammed document. If the document length exceeds the Scanning Arts SP driver setting, follow the driver's instructions. Lastly, ensure the top cover is fully locked.

      Jesus TaylorAug 25, 2025
If your GRAPHTEC Scanner operates improperly after connecting to the computer, ensure the scanner is properly grounded. Verify the USB cable's condition and connection, ensuring it's USB 2.0-compliant. Avoid using USB 2.0 add-on cards, as they are not supported. If using an Ethernet connection, ensure the Graphtec Network Utility is connected.

      Taylor EspinozaAug 26, 2025
If the document isn’t properly fed to the initial scanning position in your GRAPHTEC Scanner, it may be due to the document's condition. If the document is curled, too thin, or in poor condition, use a carrier sheet. Also, clean the paper sensors. For thick or heavy documents, support the document with your hands and lower the scan speed. If it is a thick, long-length document, load the document while supporting it with your hands.

Why do stripes or moire patterns appear in scanned data on GRAPHTEC CSX500?
    • J
      Jay McdanielSep 2, 2025
If stripes or moire patterns which are not in the original document appear in the scanned data from your GRAPHTEC Scanner, it is because the scanned document contains filled or shaded areas. Depending on the resolution selected, data that is comprised of filled or shaded areas may be scanned in as stripes or moiré patterns. Change the resolution to lessen the vividness of the stripe and moiré patterns.

Why is Automatic Deskew not performed correctly on GRAPHTEC CSX500 Scanner?
    • D
      dorothy95Sep 6, 2025
If Automatic Deskew is not performed correctly on your GRAPHTEC Scanner, it may be because translucent paper (Mylar paper, tracing paper, etc.) or paper with damaged edges is being used. In automatic deskew 'the tip of the paper' is detected, and the correction angle is calculated. If 'the tip of the paper' can not be detected properly because of the paper, automatic deskew might not be able to give the expected results. Use the included driver software (Scanning Master Pro Color)’s “Tools / Deskew” after scanning and carry out manual deskewing. Also, do not use a carrier sheet.
