Restrictions and guidelines
The LSI-9540 or 9560 series storage controller supports migration or expansion in UEFI mode or in
the OS only in RAID 0, 1, 5, or 6.
A storage controller does not support simultaneously reconfiguring two RAID arrays, which involves
reconfiguring virtual drives, including drive expansion or RAID level migration. You must reconfigure
a RAID array one by one.
A newly added drive must be of the same type as the member drives in a RAID array, and its
capacity cannot be smaller than the minimum capacity of the member drives in the RAID array.
For expansion with new drives, RAID 1 requires adding 2*N drives each time, and RAID 0, 1, 5, or 6
supports a maximum of 32 member drives.
Procedure
1. On the storage controller configuration screen as shown in Figure 173, select Virtual Drive
Management and press Enter.
