MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS AND SCHEDULES
1. Drain the Filter Water Separator Bowl if any water is present.
WARNING: DO NOT ALLOW BOWL TO BECOME FULL, CHECK HOURLY.
2. Clean the machine and surrounding area of product buildup. If machine is dusty or dirty, blow off machine
with compressed air (Do Not let any dust, dirt, or water get into the Electrical Panel).
WEEKLY:
These tasks should be done on a weekly schedule:
1. Clean machine thoroughly to remove any product buildup or plastic bits, which could jam moving parts on
the machine.
2. Lubricate all Slide Mechanisms.
3. Grease the following (with zerks only) Bearings, Drive Bearings, Roll Brake Bearings, Conveyor Bearings,
Vertical Heat Seal Bearings and Volumetric Bearings, if applicable.
4. Inspect the machine for wear: Belts, Bearings, Vertical Heat Sealer, etc. Replace parts if necessary.
5. Check the machine for loose hardware: Nuts, Bolts, Screws, etc. Tighten if necessary.
SEASONAL MAINTENANCE:
These maintenance tasks should be performed before each packaging season:
1. Replace Film Feed Belts.
2. Replace Vertical Heat Seal Teflon and Silicone Rubber Backup.
3. Replace Perforator Blade and Silicone Backup.
4. Check all Bearings and replace any that do not operate smoothly.
5. Lubricate all Slide Mechanisms.
6. Check all Air Cylinders for any air leaks and replace or rebuild Cylinders as needed.
7. Check Chains and Sprockets for proper tension or wear and replace if needed.
