4. Replace the gear box oil filter (only for the
first time, and then every six months
thereafter)
Check the fluid condition of the hydrodynamic
transmission, considering the application
environment, e.g. if the working environment
is dusty, then the Automatic Transmission Fluid
(ATF) of the hydrodynamic transmission should
be changed. This is only applicable for the
first-time change.
Park the forklift truck on a horizontal road,
lower the forks to the ground, tilt the mast
back, pull the hand brake handle tightly, put
the transmission box in neutral and turn off the
engine.
Warning
Hot hydraulic oil, ATF and components
may scald the human body. Do not touch
hot hydraulic oil or associated
components.
Remove the rubber gasket and front base.
Remove the filter and dispose of it
according to local regulations.
Wipe the filter base and make sure the old
gasket on the base has been removed.
Apply a small amount of ATF to the new
filter element gasket.
Fit the filter by hand. When the filter
touches the base, re-tighten it 1/2 to 3/4 cycle.
5. Change the ATF of the hydrodynamic
transmission (only the first 100 hours, and then
every six months afterwards)
Park the forklift truck on a horizontal road,
lower the forks to the ground, pull the hand
brake handle tightly, put the transmission box
in neutral and turn off the engine.
Warning
Hot hydraulic oil, ATF and parts may scald
the human body. Do not touch hot
hydraulic oil or associated components.
Put a container under the gearbox (the
volume should be 20 liters or more).
Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil
into the container.
Clean the oil drain plug and install it.
Take out the oil dipstick, fill with ATF (see
the Forklift Oil List) and then replace the
dipstick.
Start the engine. Step on the brake pedal
and let the engine idle at the same time, so
that the gear box is in both forward and
reverse states to prime the clutch with oil.
Put the gearbox in neutral and pull the
hand brake up.
Remove the dipstick and observe the fluid
level. If the fluid level is insufficient, add ATF to
keep the fluid level between the maximum
scale line and the minimum scale line.
Check the filter and oil drain plug for any
leakage.
Turn off the engine and install the front
base.
6. Fuel system exhaust [diesel engine]
After adding fuel or when draining water from
the oil-water separator, it is also necessary to
drain air from the fuel system.
Loosen the handle of the oil-water
separator.
Keep pressing until no more air comes out.
③Tighten the handle of the oil-water
separator.
7. Draining water from the oil-water separator
[diesel engines]
For non-Cummins diesel engines
Place a suitable container under the fuel
filter to collect the dirt.
Loosen the drain plug (2) at the bottom
of the fuel filter. Drain all the water that has
accumulated inside.
Tighten the drain plug by hand.
After completing these operations, be
sure to fill the diesel system with fuel.
