V. Forklift truck structure and stability
Be aware that the structure and stability of the forklift truck are very important to safe operation.
The basic components of the forklift truck are the lifting device (forks and mast) and the forklift
truck itself at the rear (with tires).
The front wheels of the forklift truck can be used as a fulcrum to keep balance between the center
of gravity of the forklift truck and that of the load.
The relationship between the center of gravity of the forklift truck and that of the load is critical to
the operation of the forklift truck.
The load profiles handled with the forklift truck vary; in
order to evaluate the forklift truck and stability, it is very
important to identify the center of gravity for loads in
different shapes from boxes to boards and rectangular objects.
Do not jump out of the truck if the forklift truck starts to roll over. The forklift truck will roll over
much faster than you can jump out of the truck;
you should extend your feet and keep your
hands on the steering wheel firmly to hold you
in the cab. Please fasten the safety belt tightly.
