BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE

All HECHT products equipped with petrol engine are tested to meet the very strict
requirements for the permissible exhaust emission limits. In production plant engines are
tested and adjusted during 8 minutes period. It is therefore possible, that exhausts or other
parts of the engine may appear slight signs of use. Kindly excuse this fact. Without these
settings and tests is not possible put petrol powered products into operation.
CAUTION! A
Due to transport, the machine is supplied without engine oil and fuel. For the same
reason, some types of machines are also not filled with gear oil. Before commissioning,
fill with oil and fuel!
FUEL
C The machine is equipped with a four-stroke engine and must be operated exclusively
with pure petrol WITHOUT oil!
THE ENGINE IS ONLY APPROVED FOR USE WITH UNLEADED PETROL
Use clean, fresh, normal commercial quality unleaded petrol. Do not use petrol containing
increased amounts of ethanol.

PETROL IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE AND EXPLOSIVE LIQUID. AVOID FIRE.
Never refuel in the room.
Do not smoke or use open flame while refuelling.
• Refuel in an area away from heat, sparks and flames.
• If petrol is spilled, don’t start the engine. Immediately clean up the spilled petrol. Move
the machine from the area, where the petrol has been spilled and wait until the fuel vapours
dissipate.
FUELING

Turn off the engine. Never remove the fuel cap or add fuel when the engine is
running or is hot. After stopping the engine, wait until the engine and the exhaust
components cool down completely.
1. Remove the fuel filler cap
(fig. 16A).
2. Fill petrol
(fig. 17) to maximum of one cm below the lower edge of the neck.
3. Don’t overfill! Before starting the engine, wipe the spilled petrol.
4. All closures of the tank and bulk containers needs to be refitted and tightened.
