To start the engine:
- open the engine cover
- open the fuel stopcock on tank cap to “ON” (if equipped)
- if the machine is equipped with a fuel shut-off valve, open it.
- close the engine cover
- lift the cutting deck raised as high as possible
- disengage the blades
- apply (activate) the parking brake
- release the drive engagement pedal into neutral
- when starting from cold, move the throttle to the «CHOKE» position shown on the label
- if the engine is already warm, position the lever between «SLOW» and «FAST»;
- insert the key into the ignition, turn it to the “ON” position. To start the starter and
engine, turn to the “START” position
- as soon as the engine starts, release the key (to the "ON" position)
- after starting the engine, move the throttle lever to the “FAST” position.
C Leave the throttle lever in the „CHOKE“ position only for the time necessary.
Note: I If you have trouble starting the engine, don‘t continue restarting - the battery may
be discharged and / or the engine may overheat. After an unsuccessful start, always turn
the key to the “OFF” position, wait a few seconds, and then restart. If it‘s not possible to
start, first check the safety devices that prevent starting.
STARTING AND MOVING WITHOUT MOWING
CAUTION! A
This machine has not been approved for use on public roads.
It must be used only in
enclosed areas without the operation of other vehicles and pedestrian movement.
C When moving the machine, the blades must be disengaged and the cutting deck
raised as high as possible.
- Position the throttle between «SLOW» and«FAST».
- Depress the clutch / brake pedal
- Use the gear lever to select the desired gear (see.
- Slowly release the clutch / brake pedal
CAUTION! A
To avoid dangerous situations and losing control of the machine (especially on
slopes), always select lower gears and release the clutch / brake pedal slowly.
DECELERATION / STOP
- Move the throttle lever closer to or fully to the "SLOW" position
- Depress the clutch / brake pedal.
- To stop, depress the clutch / brake pedal fully
- After stopping, move the speed lever to the "neutral" position.
