Hydraulic fluid can be fatal if it is swallowed and
penetrates into the respiratory system
Hydraulic fluid may leak out after an accident or due to
material fatigue. Hydraulic fluid can be fatal if
swallowed and inhaled.
First aid treatment
Wear gloves and safety goggles as protective
equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
Remove those affected from the danger area to
fresh air. Never leave those affected unattended.
Ensure sufficient ventilation.
Immediately remove clothing items contaminated
with hydraulic fluid.
Serious slip hazard due to hydraulic fluid leakage.
Keep away from naked flames, hot surfaces and
sources of ignition.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Do not inhale vapours or aerosols.
After inhalation
Take in fresh air; consult doctor if any pain or
discomfort.
After skin contact
Wash affected skin with soap and water and rinse
well. Remove contaminated clothing. Consult
doctor if any pain or discomfort.
