8.2 Maintenance
CAUTION

Crash and falling caused by unintentional activation
There is a risk of injury if the drive system is activated
unintentionally.
The following maintenance measures must be carried
out regularly [ Check list, page 127]. They can be
carried out by the operator and rider. In case of any
doubt, consult the specialist dealer.
8.2.1 Wheel
WARNING

Crash due to braking hard on rim
A rim can break and block the wheel if you brake hard.
It may cause a crash with serious injuries.
NOTICE
If the pressure is too low in the tyre, the tyre does not
achieve its load bearing capacity. The tyre is not stable
and may come off the rim.
If the pressure in the tyre is too high, the tyre may
burst.
Check the tyre wear.
Check the tyre pressure.
Check the rims for wear.
• The rims of a rim brake with invisible wear indicator
are worn as soon as the wear indicator becomes
visible in the area of the rim joint.
Remove the battery before maintenance.
Check rim wear on a regular basis.
Check the tyre pressure against the specifications
[ Data sheet, page 1]
Adjust the tyre pressure as necessary.
