î Clean any dirt around the spark plug base.
î Disconnect the noise suppressor cap (1)
and remove the spark plug (2) with the help
of spark plug box wrench provided in the
tool bag.
î Visually inspect the spark plug electrodes for
wear. The center electrode should have
square edges and the side electrode should
not be eroded. Discard the spark plug if
there is apparent wear or if the insulator is
cracked or chipped.
î Make sure that the spark plug gap is
0.8-0.9 mm using a wire-type feeler
gauge. If adjustment is necessary, bend the
side electrode carefully. Make sure the plug
washer is in good conditions.
î With the plug washer attached, thread the
spark plug in by hand to prevent cross-
threading.

the centrifugal filter (7) with non flammable
or high flash point solvent (kerosene).

kick starter pedal.
î Fill the crankcase with clean engine oil
(page 29).
î Clean filters as specified in the maintenance
schedule.
î Ensure to replace gasket with new one once
removed
