Viscous air cleaner element inspection

. R Replace the element, if found choked efer
maintenance schedule (page 61).

Inspect the viscous air cleaner element (6)
for any dust or dirt accumulation.

AIR CLEANER ELEMENT
Refer to the safety precautions . (page 60)
The air cleaner element is of pre foam and
viscous type replaced , it should be at regular
intervals . (pages 61) Early replacement may
be required when riding in unusually wet or
dusty areas.
Removal
• (page 41)Remove the body cover .
• Remove the air cleaner cover (1) by
removing the screws (2)
•
Remove the air cleaner element holder
component (3) from air cleaner sub
assembly case (4).
•
Separate the pre foam element (5) from
the air cleaner assembly.
