JOBS APPLICABLE TO PERIODIC SERVICES
•
Wash the vehicle and blow dry with air at every service.
•
Inspect throttle free play and operation, at every service, adjust if necessary.
•
Inspect i3s system and switch, at every service, adjust if necessary.
•
Inspect fuel lid cover operation and adjust, if required.
•
Inspect and clean crankcase breather tube/drain tube, if required.
•
Replace engine oil or top up as per the maintenance schedule.
•
Inspect and adjust choke operation, if required.
•
Test drive the vehicle if required for reported troubles, if any.
•
Inspect and valve clearance at every service, adjust if necessary.
•
Inspect and adjust carburetor, if necessary in every service.
•
Inspect, clean spark plug at every service, adjust if necessary (replace at every 12000 km).
•
Inspect fuel lines at every service.
•
Clean secondary air cleaner element at every service.
•
Inspect/Replace air cleaner element as per maintenance schedule(page 61).
•
Inspect secondary air injection system at every 6000 km.
•
Inspect brake shoe wear out at every service.
•
Inspect lever lock operation at every service.
•
Inspect battery voltage at every service and charge if required.
•
Clean and lubricate brake cam at every service.
•
Inspect stop lamp switch, horn and adjust if necessary.
•
Inspect and adjust front/Integrated brake lever free play at every service.
•
(except matte painted models)Clean and polish the vehicle before delivery.
•
Clean and lubricate the kick starter driven gear in the belt case at every service.
•
Inspect and tighten all fasteners to the specified torque (if required).
•
Inspect wheel bearings free play at every service, replace if necessary.
•
Inspect headlamp focus at every service, adjust if required.
•
Lubricate the main stand at every service.
•
Test drive the vehicle for repair of problems reported.
•
Inspect rear suspension at every service. Inspect for any play in the mounting bushes, replace if necessary.
•
Inspect idle CO emission along with idle r/min/idle CO adjustment (if required).
•
Inspect front suspension at every service (Replace front fork oil once in every 2 years or 20000 km).
•
Inspect pinon starter assembly at every 9000 km (Replace in every 2 years or 21000 km, whichever is earlier).
•
Inspect wheels and tyre pressure at every service.
•
Inspect steering for smooth operation, adjust steering head bearings if required (lubricate once in every
12000 km).
•
Inspect clutch shoe wear at every 6000 km.
•
Inspect and clean the side stand switch.
•
Inspect drive belt at every 6000 km. (replace at every 24000 km).
