Recommended spark plug.
•
Remove the center cover (page 41).
SPARK PLUG
Refer to the safety precautions (page 60).
Champion-RG8YC (Federal Mogul)
•
Disconnect the noise suppressor cap (1)
from the spark plug.
•
Fill the transmission case with recommended
oil through the check bolt hole up to the
bottom edge of the bolt hole.
•
At draining: 0.10 Litre
•
At transmission disassembly:0.12 Litre
•
Install the oil level check bolt with a new
sealing washer and tighten it.

While refilling the oil make sure that no
foreign material enters the final drive
transmission.
•
Make sure that no oil gets on the tyre or
wheel.
WARNING
!!
Never use a spark plug with an improper heat
range. Severe engine damage could result.
WARNING
!!
•
Clean any dirt around the spark plug base.

Remove the oil level check bolt (1).
•
Remove the drain bolt (2), slowly turn the
rear wheel and drain the oil.
•
After the oil is completely drained, install the
oil drain bolt with a new sealing washer.
•
Remove the spark plug using the wrench
plug provided in the tool kit.
•
Inspect the electrodes and center porcelain
for deposits, erosion or carbon fouling. If the
erosion or deposit is heavy, replace the plug.
Clean carbon or wet fouled plug with a plug
cleaner.
