Secondary air cleaner element cleaning

Remove the body cover (page 41).
SECONDARY AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM
The air cleaner element should be serviced at
regular intervals . Service more (page 61)
frequently when riding in unusually wet or
dusty areas.
•
Remove the air cleaner element housing
cover (1) by removing the screw (2).

(A) Clockwise: Increase free play
(B) Anticlockwise: Decrease free play
•
To achieve the startability of vehicle, adjust
the throttle movement (approx. 3-5 mm)
on i3s adjuster (5) in clockwise/
anticlockwise directions.

Optional check: red paint mark is not visible
and only black mark is visible. This to be
reconfirmed after adjustment.

Wash the air cleaner element in clean,
nonflammable or high flash point solvent
and let it dry thoroughly.
