Inspect and replace engine oil filter element
as specified in the maintenance schedule.
•
Apply engine oil on engine oil filter element
before installation.
• Installation is in the reverse order of
removal.
•
Dismount the side stand switch wire clip (2)
from the footrest assembly.
•
Remove the kick starter pedal (4), exhaust
muffler (5), rider footrest assembly with
side stand (6) and right crankcase cover
(7).
•
Disconnect the clutch cable (3).

•
Drain the engine oil thoroughly (page 42).
•
Remove the side stand switch screw (1).

Remove the engine oil filter element (4)
from the cover.

Replace the engine oil filter element (4).

Make sure that oil seal is properly seated.
•
When the engine oil filter element replaced
always replace the oil seal with the new one.
