8.1. RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES FEEDING
OXYMO includes an internal system for recharging NiMH technology
batteries. To recharge them only connect the power adapter to the power
connector of OXYMO (See Chapter
4). They will be recharged whether the
unit is switched on or off. Before using the unit, batteries shall be fully
charged; otherwise their life can be shortened.
When the adapter is connected, the NiMH batteries
start the recharging. The approximate level of
charge is showed by 3 bars. While charging, bars
increase from 1 to 3.
When charging is completed, the 3 bars will be
fixed and alight.
Though OXYMO is off, when connected to mains
by the adapter, it enters charging mode. On
screen, only the battery symbol is showed.
I CAUTION .
Only NiMH (nickel metal hydride) technology batteries can be recharged.
