Control keys can be disabled (by placing the instrument in the key lock state) to prevent inadvertent operation
during measurement.
Enabling the key lock state
The instrument will not accept key lock input while the KEY LOCK lamp is lit up.
Canceling the key lock state
3.10.3Disabling Control Keys (Key Lock)
1 Press to place the instrument
in the shift state and then press
.
2 The instrument will enter the key
lock state, and the KEY LOCK lamp
will light up.
When there are communications over one of the instrument's interfaces while in the key lock state, the
KEY LOCK lamp will flash, and the instrument will enter the remote state (the REMOTE lamp will light up).
While in the remote state, keys are disabled.
To enable use of the control keys, press to cancel the remote state.
