2.2 Installing the device
2.2.1 Unpacking and checking
 Check that the contents of the package are complete (see page 53
“Scope of delivery”).
 Check the individual parts for transport damage.
2.2.2 Installing the media modules
On delivery, the device is ready for operation.
You can install and remove media modules during running operation.
 To attach a media module, first remove the protective cap on the plug.
 Plug the media module onto the plug.
 Fasten the 4 screws at the corners of the media module.
 Fit the media modules in sequence from left to right.
 Check whether the switch default settings match your requirements.
2.2.3 Filling out and attaching labels
The labels included in the delivery help you to organize your network
installation clearly.
The large label areas enable you to designate the modules and uniquely
assign the devices to be connected. You can print them, write on them and
replace them at any time.
