3.2.3 Set the specimen stub to the specimen holder
(1) Set the specimen stub to specimen holder.
Assemble the adjustable screw, lock nut and specimen holder then, fix the specimen stub
to the adjustable screw part.
Fixing method of specimen stub
(2) Adjust the specimen height
Use the attached height gauge or a height gauge which is attached to the specimen
exchange chamber and set the specimen height to the 36 mm. Change the specimen
stub height by rotating the adjustable screws. After fixing the adjustable screw with the
lock nut, measure the height of specimen top surface by the height gauge.
When a large size of specimen stub is used, measure the height of specimen top surface
with the height gauge then, adjust the highest position of specimen to 36 mm or less.
