Loosen the lock nut, then remove the upper joint metal
and lock nut.
3)
Loosen the outer tube, then remove the valve body from
the vise.
4)
Loosen the outer tube slowly. Drain the residual
ATF
from the outer tube and valve body and remove the outer
tube from the valve body.
5)
Remove the cylinder/piston assembly from the outer
tube.
