OPERATION
EMERGENCY STARTING
If the battery is discharged or the
starter motor is inoperative, you can
start the engine manually using the
emergency starter rope supplied with
the outboard motor.
1. Turn the ignition switch key to the
OFF position (p. 59).
2. Unlatch the engine cover latches
and remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the four 6 × 25 mm bolts
and clamp bracket, release the
harness from the clamper, then
remove the alternator cover.
4. Install the clamp bracket with the
6 × 25 mm bolt.
Take care not to lose the bolts.
