¾ Remove the calibration container and remove
any seeds that may have remained in the
Venturi area.
¾ Weigh the calibrated seed.
¾ Press the "Enter"-key to select "Calibration
quantity" and enter the weight with the +
and - keys.
¾ After entering the calibration weight the
possible speed range will be calculated and
displayed.
If the displayed speed range corresponds with
your desired drill speed, you may start the
fertiliser calibration or, in case of single hopper,
start the sowing process.
If the desired working speed is not within the
predetermined range, the rotor must be replaced
by a bigger or smaller one, as required.
The calibration process must in this case be
repeated.
The metering motor can be regulated between
15 rpm and 150 rpm.
At speeds higher than 135 rpm a warning will
be displayed, stating that the rotary speed is
too high. At higher speeds uniform lling of the
metering cells can no longer be guaranteed.
Speeds ranging from 60 to 100 rpm have been
found to be most favourable for many
types of seeds.
Calibration when joining hoppers
(Both hoppers are used for seed)
On machines with twin hopper both hoppers can
be used for the drilling of seed.
The desired seed quantity is only entered for
metering unit 1.
However, both metering units must be calibrated
and the calibration quantities must be entered.
Calibration menu
As a reminder not to forget the second calibration
sample, the symbol of the second metering unit
ashes after the rst calibration sample.
The metering rotors do not have to be of the
same size. With two dierent rotors the smaller
one should be installed in the metering unit of
the smaller hopper.
