Specifying the MLD snooping version
Different versions of MLD snooping process different versions of MLD messages:
• MLDv1 snooping processes MLDv1 messages, but it floods MLDv2 messages in the VLAN instead
of processing them.
• MLDv2 snooping processes MLDv1 and MLDv2 messages.
If you change MLDv2 snooping to MLDv1 snooping, the system does the following:
• Clears all MLD snooping forwarding entries that are dynamically created.
• Keeps static MLDv2 snooping forwarding entries (*, G).
• Clears static MLDv2 snooping forwarding entries (S, G), which will be restored when MLD
snooping is switched back to MLDv2 snooping.

ou can specify the MLD snooping version for a VLAN in MLD-snooping view or in VLAN view. These
configurations have the same priority.
