5. Remove four screws (callout 1), and then remove the gear cover (callout 2).

6. Slightly raise the right end of the assembly, and then slide it to the right and lift it up to release the
assembly (callout 3) and remove it from the product.
Reinstallation tip Insert the left end of the assembly first to reinstall the assembly.
Fuser assembly and paper feed guide
CAUTION: The fuser might be hot. Allow enough time for the fuser to cool after the product power is
turned off.
NOTE: The toner cartridge door assembly should be in the closed position when the fuser is removed
to make sure that the fuser-drive gear is correctly aligned for reinstallation.
