Before removing the optical drive, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 22).
2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 23).
Remove the optical drive:
1. Disconnect the power cable (1) and data cable (2) from the rear of the optical drive.
2. Push the green release latch (3) on the left rear side of the optical drive toward the center of the
drive, and then slide the drive (4) forward and out of the bay.
To install the optical drive, reverse the removal procedure.
Front bezel
To remove the front bezel, use these procedures.
