2. Remove the five Torx15 screws that secure the system board to the system chassis.
3. Remove the system board by lifting it straight up.
To install the system board, reverse the removal procedures.
NOTE: When replacing the system board, you must change the chassis serial number in the BIOS.
When replacing the system board, you must reprogram the SMBIOS information about the affected
computer. Failure to reprogram the board will result in eventual failure, such as an activation failure (need
to reactivate the system) or a system recovery failure.
Update SMBIOS information in Computer Setup.
Wireless antennas (select models only)
To remove the wireless antennas, use these procedures. The external connection antennas route from
the WLAN module to the cable connectors on the front and rear panels of the computer.
