Remove the power supply cage.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
System board
CAUTION: To avoid ESD damage, when removing electrostatic-sensitive components from the
failed system board, place the components on a static-dissipating work surface or inside separate
antistatic bags.
To remove the system board:
1. Power down the server (on page 28).
2. Remove the power from the server:
a. Disconnect the power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect the power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 29).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 30).
4. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 35).
5. Remove the air baffle ("Air baffle" on page 36).
6. Disconnect all cables connected to existing expansion boards.
7. Remove the PCI riser cage ("PCI riser cage" on page 51).
8. Remove the front fan cage assembly.
9. Disconnect all cables connected to the system board.
10. Remove all DIMMs ("DIMMs" on page 44).
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the heatsink to cool
before touching it.
