CAUTION: CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays are populated
with either a component or a blank.
ProcedureProcedure
1. Remove the front bezel
.
2. Remove the drive blank.
3. Prepare the drive.
4. Install the drive.
5. If the drive is installed in an empty drive cage after the initial system boot, reboot the system to maintain optimal ventilation.
6. Determine the status of the drive from the drive LED definitions
.
7. Install the front bezel
.
The installation is complete.
