A cache module is attached to each RAID controller and each cache module is connected to a
battery. The unit is called a backup battery with cache (BBWC). BBWC 1 connects to Card 1 and
BBWC 2 connects to Card 2.
Removing the RAID controller
1. Power off the storage system:
a. Use the CMC to power off the system controller as described in “Powering off the storage
system” (page 24).
b. Manually power off the disk enclosure.
2. Unplug all cables from the power outlets.
3. Remove the storage system from the rack and place it on a flat surface.
