All data drives and device emulation types are supported for LDEV striping. LDEV striping can be
used in combination with all HP XP7 data management functions.
CU Images, LVIs, and Logical Units
This section provides information about control unit images, logical volume images, and logical
units.
CU images
The HP XP7 is configured with one control unit image for each 256 devices (one SSID for each
64 or 256 LDEVs) and supports a maximum of 510 CU images (255 in each logical disk controller,
or LDKC).
The HP XP7 supports 2107control unit (CU) emulation types.
