Procedure
1. Remove the front bezel on page 39.
2. Powering down the server on page 38.
3. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
5. Do one of the following:
• Server in tower mode: Position the tower server for hardware configuration on page 40.
• Server in rack mode: Extend the server from the rack on page 41.
6. Remove the access panel on page 45.
7. Remove the air baffle on page 46.
8. Remove the PCI blank retainer on page 48.
9. Release the NVMe SSD data cables from the clip on the riser board.
10. Disconnect the NVMe SSD data cables from the riser board.
11. Remove the NVMe riser board.
