Removing the secondary PCI riser cage
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
either riser blanks or riser cages are installed.
Procedure
1. Back up all server data.
2. Power down the server.
3. Remove the server from the chassis.
4. Remove the air baffle.
5. Remove the bayonet board.
6. Remove the secondary PCI riser cage.
Installing the secondary PCI riser cage
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all
PCI slots have either an expansion slot cover or an expansion board installed.
Procedure
1. Install the secondary PCI riser cage. Ensure that the riser board is firmly seated in the connectors on
the system board.
