Procedure
l In the IP-Trunk Interface View
Do as follows on the switchs that need to be configured with an IP-Trunk interface:
1. Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2. Run:
interface ip-trunk trunk-id
An IP-Trunk is created.
3. Run either of the following commands to add the member interfaces of the IP-Trunk.
– Run the trunkport interface-type { interface-number1 [ to interface-number2 ] }
&<1-8> command to add member interfaces in batches.
– Run the trunkport interfacetype interface-number command to add a member
interface.
When setting the member interface range, note that a maximum of 8 member interfaces
can be added or deleted for one time.
l In the Member Interface View
Do as follows on the switchs that need to be configured with an IP-Trunk interface:
1. Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2. Run:
interface ip-trunk trunk-id
An IP-Trunk is created.
3. Run:
quit
Return to the system view.
4. Run:
interface pos interface-number
The view of the interface to be added to the IP-Trunk is displayed.
5. Run:
link-protocol hdlc
The link-layer protocol of the interface is configured as High-level Data Link Control
(HDLC). The link layer protocol of an interface to be added to the IP-Trunk must be
HDLC.
6. Run:
ip-trunk trunk-id
The interface is added to the IP-Trunk.
When configuring an IP-Trunk interface, note the following points:
