2.6.3 Example for Configuring Bidirectional CHAP Authentication
This example shows how to configure bidirectional CHAP authentication between two devices
in typical networking.
Networking Requirements
As shown in Figure 2-3, Switch A and Switch B need to perform bidirectional CHAP
authentication.

Configuration Roadmap
The configuration roadmap is as follows:
1. Configure the local user lists on Switch A and Route B.
2. Configure local user names for Switch A and Switch B.
3. Enable CHAP authentication on the interfaces of Switch A and Route B.
