Data Preparation
To complete the configuration, you need the following data:
l Switch A and Switch B are connected through the POS interfaces.
l IP address of the IP-Trunk interface at Switch A
l IP address of the IP-Trunk interface at Switch B
Procedure
Step 1 Configure Switch A.
<Quidway> system-view
[Quidway] sysname SwitchA
# Create IP-Trunk 1 and configure an IP address for it.
[SwitchA] interface ip-trunk 1
[SwitchA-Ip-Trunk1] ip address 100.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
[SwitchA-Ip-Trunk1] quit
# Add POS 1/0/0 and POS 2/0/0 to IP-Trunk 1.
[SwitchA] interface pos 1/0/0
[SwitchA-Pos1/0/0] link-protocol hdlc
[SwitchA-Pos1/0/0] ip-trunk 1
[SwitchA-Pos1/0/0] quit
[SwitchA] interface pos 2/0/0
[SwitchA-Pos2/0/0] link-protocol hdlc
[SwitchA-Pos2/0/0] ip-trunk 1
[SwitchA-Pos2/0/0] quit
Step 2 Configure Switch B.
<Quidway> system-view
[Quidway] sysname SwitchB
# Create IP-Trunk 1 and configure an IP address for it.
[SwitchB] interface Ip-Trunk 1
[SwitchB-Ip-Trunk1] ip address 100.1.1.2 255.255.255.0
[SwitchB-Ip-Trunk1] quit
# Add POS 1/0/0 and POS 2/0/0 to IP-Trunk 1.
[SwitchB] interface pos 1/0/0
[SwitchB-Pos1/0/0] link-protocol hdlc
[SwitchB-Pos1/0/0] ip-trunk 1
[SwitchB-Pos1/0/0] quit
[SwitchB] interface pos 2/0/0
[SwitchB-Pos2/0/0] link-protocol hdlc
[SwitchB-Pos2/0/0] ip-trunk 1
[SwitchB-Pos2/0/0] quit
Step 3 Check the configuration.
Run the display interface ip-trunk command on Switch A or Switch B, and you can find that
the interface is Up.
Take Switch A as an example.
[SwitchA] display interface ip-trunk 1
Ip-Trunk1 current state : UP
Line protocol current state : UP
Last line protocol up time : 2011-01-12 18:15:05
