Attempt to turn the coupler by hand; if the vacuum blower has seized and won't turn, consult the Vacuum System Troubleshooting Section. Hard water scale buildup in the heat exchanger can also prevent proper heating, so descale the system. Lastly, inspect the interior of the heat exchanger for blockages on the exhaust side, removing any debris and cleaning as necessary.

  If your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner turns over but won't start and there is spark, check if fuel is reaching the carburetor. Test for power to the fuel pump and inspect the fuel pump, replacing it if necessary. Inspect the fuel lines between the source and the carburetor, repairing or replacing them if needed. Test for power to the carburetor solenoid and inspect the solenoid, replacing it if necessary. If the engine is flooded, pull the throttle cable completely and crank until the engine starts.
