What to do if my HydraMaster GTXR+ Vacuum Cleaner will not turn over?
    • M
      Mrs. Katherine ArcherNov 25, 2025
If your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner won't turn over, begin by cleaning and tightening any loose or corroded battery terminal connections. If the battery is dead, recharge or replace it, and test the charging system, repairing as needed. Do not attempt to jump start the truckmount from a running vehicle. Check the main fuse, and if it's blown, inspect the electrical system for worn or shorted wires, repairing or replacing them. Attempt to turn the coupler by hand; if the vacuum blower has seized and won't turn, consult the Vacuum System Troubleshooting Section. Test the ignition switch and starter solenoid to ensure they're receiving power. Test the starter motor to see if it is receiving power with the ignition in the 'Start' position. If none of these steps resolve the issue, consult a qua...

What to do if my HydraMaster GTXR+ Vacuum Cleaner engine overheats?
    • T
      Todd MillerAug 25, 2025
Several factors can cause your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner engine to overheat. Ensure proper ventilation by opening all van doors or installing a roof vent. Remove any obstructions that impede airflow around the truckmount. Check and replenish the oil level, as running the engine with low oil can cause severe damage. Verify that the engine RPM is correctly set to 3,200 under no vacuum load. Finally, inspect the heat exchanger for blockages and clean or replace it if necessary.

How to fix a HydraMaster GTXR+ Vacuum Cleaner that can't reach normal cleaning solution temperature?
    • S
      Samuel BlakeAug 26, 2025
If you're unable to reach the normal cleaning solution temperature in your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner, start by checking the temperature control knob and adjust it if necessary. A faulty dump solenoid could also be the culprit; inspect it and test its functionality. Excessive solution flow at the tool, often due to a jet that's too large or worn, might be the cause, so inspect and replace the jet if needed. Hard water scale buildup in the heat exchanger can also prevent proper heating, so descale the system. Lastly, inspect the interior of the heat exchanger for blockages on the exhaust side, removing any debris and cleaning as necessary.

Why does my HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner turn over but not start when there is spark?
    • J
      John GriffithAug 27, 2025
If your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner turns over but won't start and there is spark, check if fuel is reaching the carburetor. Test for power to the fuel pump and inspect the fuel pump, replacing it if necessary. Inspect the fuel lines between the source and the carburetor, repairing or replacing them if needed. Test for power to the carburetor solenoid and inspect the solenoid, replacing it if necessary. If the engine is flooded, pull the throttle cable completely and crank until the engine starts. Inspect the spark plugs and replace them if necessary. If none of these steps solve the problem, consult a qualified service technician.

What to do if my HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner turns over but won't start and there is no spark?
    • J
      James GarciaAug 29, 2025
If your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner turns over but will not start, and there is no spark, first drain the recovery tank if it is full. Inspect the recovery tank float and repair or replace as necessary. Attach an inlet garden hose to fill the water box. If too many attempts are made to start the engine prior to filling the water box, it is possible to flood the engine. If these steps don't resolve the issue, consult a qualified service technician to inspect the engine ignition system.

    • S
      stevenwillisSep 16, 2025
If there is no pressure reading on the gauge of your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner, inspect the pump belt and replace it if broken. If the belt is intact, replace the gauge, as it may be faulty.

Why does the water box in my HydraMaster GTXR+ Vacuum Cleaner overflow?
    • S
      Stephanie WheelerSep 14, 2025
If the water box in your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner overflows, disassemble and inspect the float valve, repairing or replacing it as necessary. Detach the float and check to see if it will float to the surface, replacing it if it has absorbed water and lost buoyancy. Adjust the float as necessary if it has come out of adjustment.

What causes pressure pulsation in my HydraMaster GTXR+ Vacuum Cleaner?
    • M
      Matthew GarnerSep 15, 2025
If you're experiencing pressure pulsation with your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner, check all the hoses and fittings between the water box and pump for cuts, breaks, cracks, etc., and repair as necessary. Remove each check valve in the pump and inspect for correct operation.

Why is my HydraMaster GTXR+ running rich (black smoke)?
    • A
      Anita PerezSep 6, 2025
If your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner runs rich and produces black smoke, start by inspecting the air filter and replace it if necessary. Check the choke to ensure it is fully open, adjusting or repairing as needed. Verify that the proper fuel pump is installed to prevent excessive fuel delivery to the carburetor. If operating altitudes have changed, contact your distributor to have the engine carburetor jets checked.

How to troubleshoot unstable or low chemical flow in my HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner?
    • A
      Ashley NormanSep 4, 2025
If your HydraMaster Vacuum Cleaner has unstable or low chemical flow, check that all fittings and connections are tight and in good condition, repairing or replacing as necessary to eliminate air in the lines. Inspect and clean the filter screen in the chemical jug. Inspect the chemical selector valve for leaks between ports, replacing it if necessary. Remove and inspect the chemical metering valve, cleaning or replacing it as necessary. Remove and inspect the high-pressure check valve, cleaning or replacing it as necessary.
