2.1 LC unit
2.1.1 Overview
LC Unit possesses the PLC features in addition to RCON Gateway Unit and is capable of
controlling ROBO Cylinder and industrial robots using the LC ladder programs.
The host PLC field network is applicable for seven types of field networks (CC-Link, CC-Link IE
Field, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP PROFIBUS-DP and PROFINET IO). In case of operation
with only ladder programs without using the host PLC, it is available to select a LC unit not
equipped with a field network connector.
It is capable of connecting 16 axes at the maximum of SCON-CB via the driver unit for ROCN
System (RCON-PC/PCF/AC/DC/SC), SCON Extension Unit or PIO/SIO/SCON Extension Unit.

Although it would generate an error when the number of connected axes exceeds 16 axes
or the option units exceed eight units, it is available to operate when the number of
connected axes is zero or the option unit is zero.
