Bad Accuracy – Without a Laser Catch
• Did you select the proper machine and bucket?
• Did you attach the sensors to the correct elements?
• If the dipper stick sensor has been exchanged, you may need to tweak the sensor offset angle through the machine parameter area,
clicking on the dipper stick’s angle value and following the on screen instructions.
• If the bucket sensor is installed on the dog bone, redo the bucket calibration following precisely the mandatory steps. Installing the bucket
sensor on the quick link rather than the dog bone is highly recommended.
• Note that the elevation reference may be the left hand side, right hand side or center of the bucket tip. You may lock up the desired spot
by tapping on the desired location (left, right or center) on the bucket backside view. A lock symbol will appear.
• Check the machine accuracy (dipper stick, 2
nd
boom and main boom).
• Measure the element lengths (pin to pin) and compare with the values in the machine parameters. A difference of ± 5/8 inch (1.5 cm) on each element is
fine.
• If the measurements are bad, you need to re-calibrate the whole machine.
• If the measurements are good, you may need to investigate further by the following procedure:
• Calibrate a (fake) .0033’ (1mm) long bucket. Check the machine accuracy using the bucket pivot point as the reference, with the laser pointer or a
rotating laser. If the accuracy is bad, you need to re-calibrate the whole machine.
• If the machine calibration results continue to supply bad results, make sure to follow the machine calibration procedure very accurately. Read the setup
guide.
• If the machine calibration is good you need to check the bucket calibration accuracy. Disable the tilt functionality temporarily (if enabled)
through the System Settings menu.
