3) Key, LED Indicator and Sound Alarm Functions
a) Control Panel Key Functions
Operating Mode

On Line Mode Off Line Mode
On/Off Line
The printer/host connection is
active
The printer/host connection is
inactive and the Self-Test and
Configuration menus can be
accessed.
This key stops the sound alarm
and clears the error message
displayed (if the problem has
been solved).
Press this key repeatedly to
remove the blank media
through the rear feed slot from
the inside of the printer.
Reset
Self-Test and Configuration menus: depending on the situation,
this key selects the next menu, the next parameter or the next
alphanumeric digit.
Inactive
This key gives access to the
printer Self-Test and
Configuration menus.
Test
Self-Test and Configuration menus: this key selects the
following parameter and confirms the current parameter.
This key ejects a blank
document and correctly
positions the following
document for printing. It is
possible to inhibit this function
from the Configuration menu
(see IER 506 Printer Technical
Manual).
Paper Feed
Self-Test and Configuration menus: depending on the situation,
this key selects the previous menu, the previous parameter or
the previous alphanumeric digit.
