c) Function of the Sound Alarm
The sound alarm informs you of an event. Whenever a warning
and minor error message is displayed, the sound alarms beeps
for five seconds.
When a major error message is displayed the sound alarm
beeps, depending on the configuration, either until the control
panel Reset key is pressed (to acknowledge the error message),
or beeps for ten seconds.
4) Self-Test Mode
Selecting the Self-Test Mode
a) Power up the IER 506 Printer by setting the power switch to the
I-position.
b) Press the On/Off Line key to select the off line mode.
c) Check that the On/Off LED goes off and that the display reads
the following:
IER 506
OFF LINE MODE
5) Printing the Configuration Test Document
This document is a printout of the IER 506 Printer configuration.
a) Select the Self-Test mode (see previous Paragraph).
b) Press the Test key once. The display shows the following:
Printing config.
c) The document is printed automatically.
6) Printing Other Test Documents
Other test documents can be printed. The procedure is the same as
the one in the previous Paragraph.
