MINIMUM CURRENT (IMIN)
The minimum current specifies the measured current minor value in which Smart Cap
485 maintains the power factor automatic control. Below of this current value it is activated
only the capacitors banks corresponding to the value of programmed minimum reactive
power (kVAr Imin).
Press the arrows to adjust the value of the minimum current and press F1 to confirm the
alteration.
IMPORTANT: From firmware version 2.002 the parameter Imin is not any more
programmed from the secondary of CT and yes by the Primary, therefore, when changing
the primary of CT it will be automatically adjusted Imin.
This value of minimum current shown in the screen varies according to CT's relation and
its maximum value is equivalent to 50% of the CT primary.
CONTROL PHASE
The control phase setup establishes for Smart Cap 485 about witch power factor
measurement it should do the control, it could be by phase 1, 2, 3 or by the medium value of
the three phases.

Press the arrows to establish the control phase and press F1 to confirm the alteration.
- control by the phase 1 power factor.
- control by the phase 2 power factor.
- control by the phase 3 power factor.
- control by the total power factor.
The possibility to do the power factor control through a pre-established phase is very
useful in not equilibrated electric facilities, causing a worse power factor in one of the three
phases. In this case the power factor control can be done on it.
