2.1 Test Purpose
To measure the peak differential output voltage on all four channels and examine the linearity of
each channel. This test uses "Test Mode 1" as defined by the IEEE 802.3 Specification, section
40.6.1.1.2. An example of the test mode 1 waveform is shown below.
2.2 Specification
• Points A & B = ±(0.67 to 0.82)Vpk
• Amplitude Symmetry: < 1% delta between A and B
• Points C & D = ±(0.5*A or B) ±2%
• The above is true for all four MDI channels.
