CK71 Service Work Instructions
When reinstalling display assembly parts be careful not to gets scratches, fingerprints, dust, or other contamination
on the display surfaces. Assembly in a clean environment using some form of finger protection is required.
1. Confirm that the LCD display has two grounding pads installed as shown. If this is a new LCD display you will
need to install new grounding pads. Temporarily position the boot over the back of the LCD display and use the
cutouts in the boot to properly position the grounding pads as they are installed.
2. Position the boot in the magnesium frame. Make sure it is oriented correctly with the cutout for the touch panel
flex located down by the keyboard PCB.
3. Position the touch panel as shown and connect the touch panel flex cable.
4. Flip the touch panel over so it is now located above the keyboard PCB assembly.
