Cleananddisinfecttheproduct
–regularlywhileitisinuse,
–beforeandafteranyserviceprocedure,
–whenithasbeenincontactwithanybody
uids,
–beforeusingitforanewuser.
8.3.3Cleaning
IMPORTANT!
Dirt,sandandseawatercandamagethebearings
andsteelpartscanrustifthesurfaceisdamaged.
–Onlyexposethewheelchairtosandand
seawaterforshortperiodsandcleanitafter
everytriptothebeach.
–Ifthewheelchairisdirty,wipeoffthedirtas
soonaspossiblewithadampclothanddry
itcarefully.
1.Removeanyoptionstted(onlyoptionswhichdonot
requiretools).
2.Wipedowntheindividualpartsusingaclothorsoft
brush,ordinaryhouseholdcleaningagents(pH=6-
8)andwarmwater .
3.Rinsethepartswithwarmwater.
4.Thoroughlydrythepartswithadrycloth.
Carpolishandsoftwaxcanbeusedonpaintedmetal
surfacestoremoveabrasionsandrestoregloss.
Cleaningupholstery
Forcleaningupholsteryrefertotheinstructionsonthe
labelsoftheseat,cushionandbackrestcover .
Ifpossible,alwaysoverlaphookandloopstrips(the
self-grippingparts)whenwashing,tominimizelint
andthreadbuild-uponhookstripsandprevent
damagetoupholsteryfabricbythese.
8.3.4Washing
1.Removealllooseandremovablecoversandwash
theminawashingmachineaccordingtothewashing
instructionsforeachcover.
2.Removeallpaddedpartssuchasseatcushions,
armrests,headrestorneckrestwithxedpaddedparts,
calfpadsandsoonandcleanthemseparately.
Thepaddedpartscannotbecleanedwitha
high-pressurecleanerorwaterjet.
3.Spraythewheelchairchassiswithdetergent,forexample
acar-cleaningagentwithwax,andleaveontowork.
4.Rinsethewheelchairchassiswithahigh-pressure
cleaningorordinaryjetofwaterdependingonhowdirty
thewheelchairis.Donotaimthejettowardsbearings
anddrainingholes.Ifthewheelchairchassisiswashed
inamachinethewatermustnotbehotterthan60ºC.
